Panama City

Panama City has been called the Dubai of the western hemisphere, Miami (except with more English speakers), and it lives up to its reputation both aesthetically and culturally. It's a vibrant city with a booming economy and lots of western amenities while still holding it's Central American charms close to heart.

The San Blas are a semi-autonomous archipelago of islands off the coast of Panama and coincidentally en route to Colombia, for we would be sailing five days to avoid the Darien gap and enjoy the splendour of these gems.

The second half of the San Blas photos starts in a traditional Kuna Indian village and crosses a section of the ocean that the dolphins surely own before finally making land fall in a border town on the Darien gap and our first stop in Colombia - Sapzurro.
